Principle and applications:
All living cells contain adenosine triphosphate (ATP), (molecular formula C10H16N5O13P3,condensed structural formula C10H8N4O2NH2(OH)2(PO3H)3H, molecular weight 507.184).Thereis approximately 2x10-18mol ATP in one bacterium. And the ATP perishes with the cell death. Thus the bacteria amount can be calculated by detecting the ATP content in the sample.
This product adopts the advanced single-photon counting technique to determine the bacterial content by counting the photon number issued by the combination of ATP and luciferase. It can be widely used for the detection of bacterial content in dairy products, determination of the total number of surface microorganisms, rapid qualitative detection of pathogens, medical equipment disinfection effect testing, bacteria detection of food production environment and instruments etc.
Background:
Commissioned by Hygiena in July 2004, we start to research the Pi-102 ATP fluorometer on the basis of single photon counting technology, and obtained national patent and innovation fund support.
