The SCIROCCO "suspended silica” systems have proved to be of excellent value to companies with extremely large cleaning volumes that need to be processed in a short period of time. They are suitable for the high quality cleaning of costly tools.
Parts are loaded in a carrier and submerged in the bubbling sand reservoir, which operates at 420 – 480 °C. Organics evaporate and oxidise without combustion occurring. The standard cleaning time is one hour, but depending on the type and degree of contamination, the cleaning cycle could be as short as 30 minutes! Systems are designed for 24h/d operation.
The integrated flame screen above the reactor provides post combustion with direct energy recovery.
Scirocco systems are available in compact, standard and customized sizes.
Pyrolysis ovens are in turn mainly used to remove minor contamination. They are used in the plastics industry.
