ROTOVISOR is a type of rotary inspecting system characterised by pincers which hold full bottles by their neck. The bottles that are led into the machine from the infeed conveyors, are spaced by an infeed screw according to the machine pitch and placed inside the pockets of the inlet starwheel. This latter drives the bottles towards bottle holder grippers which are supported by a carrousel that by rotating makes these grippers’ lever arms slide on a fixed helical guide. This way bottles are turned upside down very slowly and they pass by a source of light which lights up a flowsight placed at the back side of the machine. This allows to pinpoint any residuals or particles in suspension inside the bottle and to check any occurring product outlet due to defective capping or to misshaped neck. The operator, placed in the backside of the machine, selects the bottles to reject through a discard key placed on the push-button panel on the rear side. The discard consent is elaborated through the machine drive PLC operating a pneumatic system of expulsion and selection of the bottles. The rejected bottles are then conveyed onto a conveying belt which collects all scrap.
