In almost all premises there are obstacles that can be hazardous to occupants, particularly in an emergency evacuation. These hazards can include pillars, pipework, machinery and other objects which can protrude from walls, ceilings and walkways. Safety bumpers minimise the potential for injury if a collision occurs.
The photoluminescent (phosphorescent) element of the bumper strips ensures that any potential hazards are clearly visible, particularly in the event of an emergency and/or loss of electrical power.
There are two (2) types of safety bumpers: one suitable for edges (angle 90o) and another suitable for flate sufaces (for angles other than 90o)
Safety bumper reduces the shock of collision and minimise the effects of involuntary collision as they are photoluminescent and will remain visible under any circumstances, even in the absence of light. Depending on the angle of the surfaces to be protected, there are: - Flat bumper – appropriate for flat surfaces and surfaces that are not at 90º. - Corner bumper – appropriate for surfaces at 90º angles.
