The Thomas L. Green Ultrasonic Guillotine Cutter uses a high frequency guillotine blade to precisely cut soft, sticky, fragile and baked or fried or filled products. The ultrasonic high frequency vibrations allow for soft, sticky, fragile products to be cut cleanly without deformation, smearing or blade build-up. The blade assembly consists of an ultrasonic converter, booster and a cutting horn constructed of specialty metal for durability during ultrasonic motion. The customized cutting mode options – cycle, continuous and profile – are designed to accommodate specific product conditions and production speed, and the Ultrasonic Cutter is capable of cutting product lengths as small as 25mm. The unique design of the Cutter allows for it to be mounted on a process line or supported by a free-standing framework, making the unit portable and allowing customers to upgrade a standard RBS Guillotine Cutter to an ultrasonic blade. It may also incorporate a transfer conveyor off its own control package, or be built to straddle a conveyor already in place.
