Uni Vac system is designed for fully automatic or manual unattended operation. Its primary function is to extract water and light hydrocarbon from oil. The system is operated under a vacuum condition to raise the oil temperature to a desired level. This is done by forcing the oil to atmospheric pressure created in a heating chamber.
The oil is then drawn into a vacuum chamber where a thin layer of it is gradually exposed to the vacuum at a very low flow rate. Here it is boiled by heating or through vacuum process with emulsified water, dissolved gasses, air and other low range volatile elements.
Through this process, the oil is purified and conditioned to a safe operational standard without removing additives or detergents.
Vacuum dehydration is the only comprehensive method for complete removal of water from the oil. Oil can be revived to its original state through low temperature distillation along with fine filtrations.
